出版日期：2020/01/21 出版社：聯經 台灣的不成功轉型：民主化與經濟發展 https://www.linkingbooks.com.tw/LNB/book/Book.aspx?ID=155200 台灣戰後初期經濟發展成績斐然，近三十多年來的民主轉型也被認為是一項重大成就。然而，現今台灣經濟明顯陷入困局，投資不振、薪資停滯、升級滯後、缺乏前景，顯然政治轉型並未帶來成功的經濟轉型，原因何在？ 《台灣的不成功轉型》一書即在探討造成困局的原因及民主轉型對於經濟發展的影響。台灣戰後初期成長所依賴的發展型國家模式包括：執政者堅定支持經濟發展，經建官僚具有能力與自主性，以整體發展為優先目標等。但民主轉型中這發展模式未能成功轉型：一是政策目標上未能成功折衝發展與其他考量；二是政策趨向短期民粹化，缺乏追求整體發展的共識；三是主導思潮改尊新自由主義並否定發展為先；四是因強調打造台灣新國族但卻與經濟現實相背離，以致缺乏前瞻性發展策略與願景。南韓也歷經轉型，然相異處在於其仍具有一致的國家認同及追求整體經濟發展的共識，因而轉型後發展成績較為優異。因此至今我們需要直接面對最關鍵的兩岸關係的挑戰，尋求和解與因應之道，重新建立具現實性、前瞻性的經濟願景。
